Our Story
Nicole started raising Finnsheep in 2019 for their fiber, which is a very fine fiber. She realized after a year that sheep were not going to support themselves and her husband wanted them gone. So, she started to make sheep milk soap to help support feeding them, vet needs, and whatever else comes along. Nicole processes their wool and sells yarn and roving. She supplies felting kits, knitting needles, etc. "I've started supporting other sheep and fiber farms by selling their products on my farm. I'm part of the Cherry Valley Farmers Market, Finnsheep Breeders Association and the Hudson Valley Textile Project."
Sunny Valley Farms has been certified for its commitment to food safety and environmental stewardship as an Animal Fiber participant in the New York State Grown & Certified Program.
